Keyword Density Checker

Analyze keyword frequency and density in your content.

About this tool

The Keyword Density Checker analyzes your content and shows the 20 most frequent words with their counts and density percentage — the share of total words each keyword represents. A visual bar makes it easy to spot over-optimized terms at a glance.

Most SEO professionals aim to keep any single keyword below 2–3% density. Higher values can read as keyword stuffing to both readers and search engines. The stop-word filter removes common words like “the” and “and” so the table reflects meaningful terms only.

Frequently asked questions

There's no official number, but 1–2% for a primary keyword is a widely used guideline. Focus on natural writing first; density is a sanity check, not a target.

The current version analyzes single words. Checking your main two or three word phrase manually with Ctrl+F is a quick complement.

Words like “the”, “of” and “and” dominate any text and carry no SEO meaning, so excluding them surfaces the keywords that actually matter.
